A performing-arts fund-raiser will be held tomorrow night to help send Camden High School's marching band to Washington to take part in an inaugural festival competition.

Called a Student Showcase of Talent, the event will start at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Rutgers-Camden's Gordon Theater. The Camden Board of Education Foundation is sponsoring the event, which will include dance and musical performances. Musician Eric Lewis, a former Camden student, will also perform. The group is trying to raise $40,000 to send the 75-member band and 10 chaperones to Washington and pay for the students to participate in the competition being put on by Heritage Festivals, a Utah-based events coordinator.

Tickets are $25. They are available at the box office. For reservations, contact Bart Leff, district liaison, at 856-966-2649.      - Rita Giordano
