Police are investigating two separate shootings that claimed the lives of a teenage boy and 39-year-old man in North Philadelphia last night.
Police are investigating two separate shootings that claimed the lives of a teenage boy and 39-year-old man in North Philadelphia last night.
In the first homicide, Anthony Jenkins, was shot multiple times in the chest inside a corner store on the 4300 block of N. 16th Street in the Nicetown section at 7:26 p.m., police said.
Jenkins, who did not work at the store but lived down the street, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:55 p.m. police said.
Police said they were seeking a motive in the shooting.
At 8:37 p.m., gunfire erupted on the 4600 block of N. Hurley Street in the Feltonville Section.
Wyana Archer, 17, was wounded multiple times in the back, police said.
Archer, who lived on the 900 block of Greenwich Street in South Philadelphia, was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 9:11 a.m.
Again, police said they were seeking a motive in the killing.
