The annuity jackpot reboots to $12 million for Friday's drawing - a fraction of tonight's Powerball jackpot of $190 million, or $99 million cash.
A North Carolina ticket also won $1 million in last night's Mega Millions drawing, by matching the first five numbers - 5, 14, 17, 19 and 24 - while having the Megaplier multiplier option, which came up 4, quadrupling the regular $250,000 prize.
The player missed only the Mega Ball of 25.
A New Jersey ticket was one of 15 that won $250,000 by matching the first five numbers. California had five such winners, New York had three, Ohio had two, and with one apiece were Arkansas, Connecticut, Kansas, North Carolina and Texas.
On Friday night, a ticket purchased at the Giant Food Store on York Road in Willow Grove was one of the $250,000 winners in Mega Millions.
Both games are sold in 40 states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Florida and Louisiana play just Powerball, California sells just Mega Millions, and seven states - Alaska, Alabama, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming - sell neither.
