Police identify two gunfire slaying victims

Police today released the names of two men slain Monday in separate shootings in different parts of the city.

Larry Vann, 29, was shot in the face and killed about 9:40 a.m. on the 1200 block of West Venango Street in North Philadelphia.

Vann, who lived on the 2100 block of North 20th Street, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dominic Young, 22, was shot in the back on the head on the 2100 block of South Gould Street in Southwest Philadelphia sometime after midnight and pronounced dead on the scene at 12:32 a.m.

Young lived in the block, which is in the Elmwood section.

Police said they have not established motives or identified possible suspects in either slaying,
