2 Chesco men charged in kidnapping

A dispute over a relationship led to an alleged kidnapping of a man in Chester County on Wednesday, state police said today.

Police said a 19-year-old Modena man was "unwillingly and unlawfully" driven to areas around Chester County from 2:30 to 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday by two acquaintances and threatened at gunpoint before being returned to his home.

The alleged victim contacted police, who investigated and took Michael James Hoffman, 26, of Exton, and Michael Harry Galli Jr., 26, of Coatesville, into custody Saturday.

Charges against the two include kidnapping, terroristic threats, and related offenses. Hoffman was released on unsecured bail of $100,000, and Galli posted $50,000 cash bail; a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
