A car went out control on the same block as the Comcast Center this morning, damaging two others cars, knocking down a tree, and sending three people to the hospital.
Arch Street was closed between 18th and 19th Streets at the start of the morning rush hour because of the crash.
Officials said the injured people were taken to Hahnemann University and Jefferson University Hospitals. Their conditions are not known.
Apparently a small black SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Arch when it struck a Grand Cherokee and knocked the Jeep into a parked red Mazda 23, before toppling a 15-foot tree and coming to rest, mangled, in a parking lot.
Whether the Jeep was moving or parked at the time of the crash was unclear.
