Two men slain in separate shootings in North Philadelphia on Monday have been identified by police.
Two men slain in separate shootings in North Philadelphia on Monday have been identified by police.
They were Shaquille Jones, 18, of the 2500 block of North 28th Street, and Raymond Smalley, 35, of the 2500 block of North Bouvier Street.
Jones was shot in the chest about 2:10 p.m. on the 2500 block of Silver Street and pronounced dead at 2:33 p.m. at Temple University Hospital, police said.
Smalley was one of two men shot on the 1100 block of West Huntingdon Street about 1:30 p.m., police said.
Wounded in the abdomen, Smalley died at Temple at 2:07 p.m., police said. A 26-year-old man who had been shot in the shoulder was in stable condition at the hospital.
No arrests have been made in either slaying and investigators have not disclosed if they have established motives in the shootings.
Police in the meantime reported that a 26-year-old man who was shot in the head on Aug. 12 on the 2600 block of North Gratz Street died of his wounds over the weekend.
He was Kareem Hart of the 2400 block of North 26th Street, police said.
Although he had been shot in the head, Hart was able to flag down a police cruiser, which took him to Temple University Hospital.
But, police said, his condition only worsened and he died in a hospice.
No arrests have been made.
