One person has been killed in a one-car crash on Route 422 in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County, according to Breaking News Service.

The accident occurred just after 3 p.m. on the westbound ramp to Rte. 422 near Egypt Road, a Montgomery County dispatcher confirmed.

The dispatcher declined to say how many people were in the car, or what their condition might be. The Upper Providence police were at the scene; their office staff had no information.

The Breaking News Network said the crash was at Mile Marker 186.7, and that emergency medical personnel at the scene were reporting one person was deceased; a medical helicopter that had been summoned was cancelled.

Pennsylvania State Police from the Skippack Barracks were helping in the investigation, the county dispatcher said.

The westbound ramp was shut down, and traffic delays on the busy highway were expected, the news service reported.
