An 86-year-old Swarthmore man died Tuesday night as a result of a crash in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, N.J.
Alfred E. Graham was driving when his car struck a guardrail on the Black Horse Pike (Route 322), just east of Route 559, in front of Palace Pizza, according to Capt. Mike Petuskey.
Police, who were called at 7:42 p.m., found that a passing motorist tried to administer CPR.
Graham was pronounced dead at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, in Pomona.
A missing person report was filed for Graham less than an hour before the accident, Petusky said, but Swarthmore police were unable to find such a report this morning.
No one else was hurt in the accident, Petuskey said.
