W. Philly gunshot victim dies of his wounds
Doctors could not save the life of a 22-year man who was shot and critically wounded in West Philadelphia Monday night. Police found the victim, identified as Ronnie Romero, about 9:20 p.m. with multiple gunshot wounds on the 600 block of North 44th Street.

Romero, who lived on the 500 block of North Simpson Street, was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, but he died at 11:06 p.m., police said.
No word yet from investigators if they have established a motive in the slaying.
