Police have released the name of a 19-year-old killed in a crash early Sunday morning in Falls Township, Bucks County.

He was Todd Blackshear, of the 200 block of Academy Street in Trenton.

The crash happened about 3:44 a.m. on Route 1 North, just north of the intersection with Route 13.

Blackshear was driving a white 1992 Toyota Camry when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck a guard rail twice and then hit a concrete barrier twice, before coming to rest across two lanes of traffic, according to police.

Blackshear and passenger Phillip Fortson, of Ewing, N.J., were both thrown from the vehicle and landed on the highway.

A Nissan Altima, also heading north on Route 1, struck the Toyota and Blackshear, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Fortson, who was seriously injured, was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.

The Nissan driver, Tofail Ahmed of Fairless Hills, was taken to Aria Health-Bucks County Campus in Falls Township.

Neither Blackshear nor Fortson was wearing a seat belt, according to police.
