Police have released the names of three men killed in separate shootings in North Philadelphia on Monday.

Steven Jackson, 25, was killed and a 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting at an auto body shop on the 2200 block of West Stewart Street about 7 p.m., police said.

Jackson lived on the 1900 N. 23rd Street, police said.

Police still have not disclosed a possible motive, but detectives were still questioning the wounded man this morning.

Police reportedly questioning an 82-year-old man in the slaying of Kenneth Butts, 50, on the 1300 block of North 25th Street.

Butts, who lived a block away, was shot in the mouth about 5 p.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators have not yet reported a motive.

A little over an hour earlier, police found Donald Wesley, 19, with two gunshots wounds in his chest inside a car in the 1700 block of North Hollywood Street in the Brewerytown neighborhood.

Wesley, who lived on the 2500 block of North 34th Street in Strawberry Mansion, was pronounced dead at 7:38 p.m. at Temple University.

Again, no word on a possible motive.

Before these most recent killings, Philadelphia had recorded 260 homicides so far this year. For the same period last year, there were 241 homicides.
