A 21-year-old Warminster woman who had been missing for nearly two weeks was found "safe and unharmed" in Illinois on Wednesday, according to Warminster police.
Ashley Keller was found by the FBI, police said. She went missing on July 4 with Romulo Perez-Catalan, 21, according to police.
Perez-Catalan was also found and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant in Bucks County for burglary charges, police said. He is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania, police said.
Assistant District Attorney Matthew Weintraub said Thursday that Keller and Perez-Catalan shared an apartment in Bucks County. He said "there is no indication that Ms. Keller was taken to the Chicago area against her will by Mr. Perez-Catalan or anyone else," but added that authorities were still interviewing people involved in the case.
Perez-Catalan has an extensive arrest record, from driving under the influence to simple assault and harassment, according to court records.
Attempts to reach Keller's family Thursday were unsuccessful. Weintraub said that she had been in contact with her family since being found.
