The Camden County Prosecutor's Office issued a news release Monday saying the body was found by a passerby Friday afternoon near the intersection of Morgan Boulevard and Broadway.
Prosecutor's Office Detective Terry King said authorities believe the man was 18 to 25 years old, African American, 5-foot-7, weighing 150 to 175 pounds. He had extensive dental work, including crowns on his four front teeth. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt.
The body was severely decomposed, authorities said. A forensic anthropologist determined the remains must have been at that location no more than a year.
Anyone who may have information on the man's identity is urged to contact King at 609-820-7113 or Camden County Police Detective Shaun Donlon at 856-757-7420.
