Two Philadelphia police officers were injured during a car crash at Frankford Avenue and Sellers Street in Frankford.
Two Philadelphia police officers were injured early Sunday during a crash in the Frankford section of the city.
The officers were responding to an assignment shortly before 3:30 a.m. in a marked police vehicle with its lights and siren activated, police said.
As they drove along the 4500 block of Frankford Avenue, they were struck by a car traveling west on Sellers Street, according to investigators.
Both officers were taken to Temple University Hospital with complaints of head, neck and back pain, police said. They were expected to be treated and released Sunday.
No additional injuries were reported in connection with the crash. It wasn't immediately clear whether charges would be filed.
