Jury finds Rittenhouse Square stabber guilty of 1st-degree murder

A jury Wednesday convicted Steven Simminger II in the fatal stabbing of 24-year-old Colin McGovern in March 2016. Their worlds collided after McGovern's friend made a sarcastic remark about Simminger's New Jersey Devils sports cap, and Simminger then pulled out a knife.
