Authorities are searching for a bank robber who is suspected of hitting up the same branch three times since this summer.

The FBI said today that the suspect has been targeting the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union located at 7604 City Ave. in Overbrook Park.

The FBI said the same man appears to be responsible for three incidents at the branch between July and last week. In all of the heists, the suspect has presented a threatening note and implied he was carrying a gun, though no firearm has been displayed during the incidents.

The most recent crime happened on Halloween, when the man tried to rob the credit union but left empty-handed, the FBI said.

He is also suspected of robbing the branch on July 1 and July 29. Authorities didn't disclose how much money he obtained in the heists.

The suspect is described as black, in his mid-30s with a medium build and about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall. He has a medium-to-dark complexion, a scraggly goatee and may have acne or other bumps on this face.

He has worn a hat during each of the incidents. Those hats included a black baseball cap with white writing, a dark-colored flat cap and a black Chicago White Sox cap with white lettering.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000. The credit union is offering a reward of $5,000 for tips that lead to his arrest and conviction.
