T. Milton Street Sr. is facing an Oct. 15 trial date in his tax-evasion case after a federal judge agreed to delay the case. The trial had been scheduled for next month.
The order announcing the change lists a Moorestown, N.J., address for Street, who is running in the May primary for an at-large seat on Philadelphia's City Council. His legal address has been the subject of dispute.
Street, the older brother of Mayor Street, sought the trial delay after a new defense lawyer, Jeremy H.G. Ibrahim, took over his case.
Federal prosecutors charge that Street failed to report more than $2 million in consulting fees he received from companies trying to win or retain city contracts. - AP
