A triple shooting near the Point Breeze section yesterday morning killed one man and wounded two, police said.
A report of gunshots shortly after 12:30 a.m. led police to the 2300 block of Wilder Street, where they found Kyle Holmes, 27, of Point Breeze, lying on the ground with bullet wounds to the head, abdomen and legs.
Medics took Holmes to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, Police Sgt. Tim Cooney said.
Two men ages 24 and 45, whom police would not identify because they are witnesses, sustained leg wounds. The younger man also was shot in the back. Both were in hospitals in stable condition, Cooney said. No motive had been established, and no arrests had been made as of last night. - Jan Hefler
