Victim of slaying near airport was Chester man

Homicide detectives yesterday identified a man who was fatally wounded outside a hotel near Philadelphia International Airport on Wednesday night.

Homicide detectives yesterday identified a man who was fatally wounded outside a hotel near Philadelphia International Airport on Wednesday night.

Sterling Green, 33, of Chester, was in the parking lot of the Residence Inn by Marriott in the 4600 block of Island Avenue when he was shot multiple times at 8:57 p.m. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 9:33 p.m.

Police said yesterday that no arrest had been made and that they did not know the motive for the shooting. - Barbara Boyer
