I-95 crash kills four, closes northbound lanes
EWING, N.J. - A pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 95 collided with a minivan last night, killing four people and injuring four others, New Jersey State Police said.
The accident occurred just before 8 p.m., said Sgt. Stephen Jones, a state police spokesman.
The driver of the pickup truck, who was alone in the vehicle, was killed in the crash. The driver of the minivan and two passengers - including one who was ejected from a rear seat of the vehicle - also died.
All northbound lanes and one southbound lane were shut down in the area of the crash, near the Scudder Falls Bridge, which links New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The lanes were reopened just before 11:30 p.m., Jones said.
