South Harrison barn fire snarls morning commute
A four-alarm blaze in South Harrison Township shut down sections of Route 45 and Franklinville Road yesterday morning. Fire broke out at 7:26 a.m. inside a barn in the Mullica Hill area. The fire was under control by 9:30 a.m., but firefighters continued to douse hot spots for a half-hour, South Harrison police said. The farm's owner was taken to the burn center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. The fire is under investigation. - Sam Wood
