Upper Darby police are investigating the death of a teenage boy who appeared to have been struck by a SEPTA 102 trolley late Saturday night near Hillcrest Road and Harper Avenue in Drexel Hill.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said Kyle Fish, 14, apparently was lying on the track when he was struck about 11:30 p.m.

A preliminary medical examiner's report said he suffered blunt head trauma. A toxicology report is pending and no ruling was made on the cause of death.

Chitwood said that Fish, of the 3400 block of Albermarle Avenue, told his parents he was spending the night with friends. Police were interviewing the young man's friends last night.
