Glouco bar has license lifted for age violation

A Gloucester County bar's liquor license is being suspended for serving alcohol to a 17-year-old girl hired to strip for customers, authorities said.

A Gloucester County bar's liquor license is being suspended for serving alcohol to a 17-year-old girl hired to strip for customers, authorities said.

A 50-day license suspension was placed on Park Place Bar & Grill in National Park for the February 2011 incident, the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control announced Thursday.

Agency investigators visited the bar and found the teenager being served Long Island Iced Tea and Bay Breeze cocktails and other drinks. The bartender told them that bar managers had instructed staff to give the girl alcohol to "loosen her up" so she could socialize with customers and strip for them, the ABC said.

Park Place co-owner Donald Rossiter Jr., of West Deptford; Donald Rossiter Sr. of National Park, who has a management role at Park Place; and bartender Melissa Armstrong of Marlton were charged with serving alcohol to an underage person. The girl, who was not identified, was charged with underage drinking. A phone number for the bar was no longer in service. - Inquirer staff
