Kevin Riordan: Celebrating Audubon's 'Bon-Bons'

No matter how hot the sun, long the day, or tough the competition, a "Bon-Bon" never fainted. "We weren't allowed to," laughs Helen Davis Miller, a majorette in what was formally called the Audubon All-Girl Drum and Bugle Corps.

For decades, this female marching ensemble was Audubon's pride and joy, featured in every parade. They disbanded in the'70s but are fondly remembered. Carol Terreri is a veteran of the Bon-Bons, an all-female drum and bugle corps that was once the pride of Audubon. 7/27/2013
