Library programs for job seekers

HAVERTOWN Nicole Pica, a professional recruiter, will present a series of programs at the Haverford Library on Darby Road to help job seekers. Attendees will learn how to improve their presentation, market themselves, and pursue opportunity.

The series begins with a workshop, Getting Started, at 7 p.m. Jan. 8. Participants will learn how to create or improve a resumé, brand themselves as to who they are and what they have to offer, and develop a 30-second elevator speech about themselves.

The second in the series, Keep it Fresh!, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 29. Third in the series is Job Searching and Networking at 7 p.m. Feb. 5, and last is the workshop Interviewing and Getting the Job on at 7 p.m. Feb. 26.

After each workshop, participants will be given a chance to sign up for small group sessions in which they can get one-on-one help.

The programs are free and open to the public, but registration is required at www.haverfordlibrary.org/careermanagement.
