The man sought in an April hit-and-run accident that killed a 2-year-old boy in Fairhill surrendered Monday at Police Headquarters, authorities said.

Miguel Colon, 22, is accused of driving the white 2006 Infinity that struck Josephine Rivera, 19, and her son, David Aliea, about 7 p.m. April 13 at Mascher Street and Lehigh Avenue. Rivera was critically injured but recovered; her son died at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children three days after the crash.

Surveillance video indicates the Infinity was moving fast down Mascher, past a playground across from Rivera's house. - Inquirer staff
