Phila. police identify two shooting victims

Police yesterday released the names of two men shot to death in recent days.

Nathaniel Lopez, 39, was found outside his home on the 100 block of West Fisher Street in Olney shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center at 8:28 p.m. Police believe two unknown men who fled in a dark vehicle may been involved.

Early Tuesday morning, a man died from a shooting in the 5600 block of Arch Street in West Philadelphia. He was identified yesterday as Syed Blackwell, 29, who lived a couple of blocks from where he was found at 1:41 a.m. with a single gunshot wound to the buttocks.
