NEWARK, Del. - A Newark teenager died and another teen was hospitalized in serious condition after two dirt bikes collided Monday afternoon, according to Delaware State Police.

Cody J. Kegelman, 14, was pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital, where he was taken after the 1:15 p.m. crash on a dirt access road about a quarter mile east of Delaware Route 72, state police said in a news release. Authorities say Kegelman was traveling west while Nicholas Schrader, 16, of Newark, was traveling east on the same access road.
Police said Schrader was being treated at Christiana Hospital for serious injuries. - AP
