Man found dead in an SUV in Stenton

A man was found dead Wednesday night in an SUV in the Stenton section of East Mount Airy, police said.

About 8:45 p.m., police responded to reports of a possible shooting and car accident at Upsal and Rugby Streets. They found a green SUV that had struck a pole; the driver had been shot several times, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and police did not release his name. - Anthony Campisi
