Philly cop arrested for off-duty bar incident

A 27-year-old Philadelphia police officer was arrested and charged Friday for an off-duty incident in January in which she allegedly threatened people with a gun at a bar in the city's Logan section. Officer Sequeta Williams, a seven-year veteran assigned to the 22nd District, was suspended 30 days with intent to dismiss by Police Commissioner Richard Ross.

A 27-year-old Philadelphia police officer was arrested and charged Friday for an off-duty incident in January in which she allegedly threatened people with a gun at a bar in the city's Logan section, police said.

Officer Sequeta Williams, a seven-year veteran assigned to the 22nd Police District, was suspended 30 days with intent to dismiss by Police Commissioner Richard Ross.

Williams was at a bar in the 4800 block of North Broad Street just before 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 25 when she allegedly pointed a gun at people and made threatening statements, police said.

Following an investigation, Williams surrendered Friday to the Internal Affairs Unit. She was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, and related offenses.
