Services set for Carol Ann Campbell
Services have been set for former Philadelphia City Councilwoman and Democratic ward leader Carol Ann Campbell, who died Wednesday at age 71.
Services have been set for former Philadelphia City Councilwoman and Democratic ward leader Carol Ann Campbell, who died Wednesday at age 71.
A funeral service is planned for noon Dec. 1 at St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, at 57th and Vine Streets in West Philadelphia. A viewing will be held at the church beginning at 9 a.m. Burial is private.
Miss Campbell is survived by a brother, Edgar Campbell Jr.; a foster brother, Marvin Stith; two nephews, Edgar III and Edward; a niece, Tonita Corbin; and many grand- and great-grand-nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Miss Campbell's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia 19103, or the American Lung Association, 305 S. 13th St., Philadelphia 19107.
