She graduated from West Catholic High School in 1948 and was hired that June 15 as a clerk in the mortgage department of Bryn Mawr Trust.

Miss Roberts became an executive secretary to J. Clyde Hart, president of the bank, whom she served until he retired in 1979. She rose to become corporate secretary in 1981, an officer-level position, a bank spokeswoman said.

She retired on Jan. 3, 1992, as executive secretary working for Bob Stevens, then bank chairman and president.

"Her dedication, competence, attention to detail, vast knowledge of the company and its affairs, and steadfast loyalty through many difficult days . . . are all applauded sincerely," the bank board of directors wrote on Dec. 14, 1991.

In retirement, Miss Roberts took a part-time job at the Lancaster Dress Co., formerly in Wynnewood. She summered at the Jersey Shore, in Sea Isle City or Margate.

A lifelong Villanova Wildcats basketball fan, Miss Roberts held season tickets for many years and traveled to tournaments. She volunteered on the reception desk at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Miss Roberts is survived by many cousins.

Visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, will be followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church in the Rosemont Chapel, 1229 E. Lancaster Ave., Rosemont. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
