Barry Eisele, manager for refrigeration firm

Barry Eisele, 69, of Voorhees, a branch manager for United Refrigeration Inc. in South Jersey, died of cancer Monday, Feb. 15, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

United Refrigeration is a distributor for parts and equipment for air-conditioning, heating, and refrigeration units, with locations in 44 states.

A 1964 graduate of Camden Catholic High School, Mr. Eisele served in a New Jersey unit of the Army Reserve.

Mr. Eisele had been with United Refrigeration since his high school graduation year, his wife, Jane, said.

"He worked out of the Philadelphia office in the 1980s as a sales manager," she said. "He was a branch manager in Berlin since the early '90s."

Joseph De Salvo, a printing salesman, had known Mr. Eisele for 40 years. "He was like family, a brother I didn't have," De Salvo said.

They sometimes shared vacations together.

"When my nephew married an Irish girl," De Salvo said, it was Mr. Eisele who flew with him for the event in Ireland.

"He was a down-to-earth fellow," De Salvo said.

Besides his wife of 38 years, Mr. Eisele is survived by sons Christopher and Timothy, two brothers, and five grandchildren.

Viewings were set from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, and 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Bradley Funeral Home, Route 73 and Evesham Road, Marlton, before an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 27 Kresson-Gibbsboro Rd., Gibbsboro. Interment is to be private.
