Letters: 2ND AMENDMENT AND BRAINLESS HYPOCRITES
SO, THE READERS of the Daily News feel that a man who is exercising his Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms is dangerous, arrogant, scared and a Wyatt Earp, Matt Dillon wannabe.

Let's cut through the nonsense, shall we? More people are killed in drive-by shootings in Philly in one week than are killed in Afghanistan in one month. That's a fact, City of Brotherly Love. So, you mean to tell me that you brainless hypocrites are worried about a law-abiding citizen having the "arrogance" to defend himself? What a laugh.
I tell ya, you gotta love Philadelphia. Only in Philly do you get people who believe that citizens should be unarmed, and helpless, and, in the case of voter ID, unable to identify themselves.
After all, what kind of people willingly walk around one of the most violent, crime-ridden cities in the country unarmed, defenseless and unidentified? Answer: a Democrat voter and/or an illegal immigrant.

April fuels
Does anyone out there really believe that the president, Congress, our state Legislature and even our own City Council care about what we have to pay for gas? They all get free cars, free gas, free insurance and, I'm sure, a lot of contributions to their campaign funds from the oil companies and the like, so why should they care? Except, of course, around election time.

The aesthetes on City Council should be applauded for encouraging bandit signs, as they liven up dreary telephone poles. Council's allying with the plastic-bag industry ensures that we can enjoy a plethora of colorful bags dancing in the wind or gracefully ensconced in the trees. As for our bountiful array of informative billboards, I quote former councilman Tayoun: "Hey, this isn't Paris."
I look forward to the charms that advertising will provide on our bleak historic sites.

A fan's notes
So, Andre Iguodala doesn't care about the fans, eh? Well, in my case, the feeling is more than mutual.
Yo, Dre, short and sweet: GTFO.
And take Marcus Hayes with you.
