Talking Points
– Penn, the two-time defending champion, is 0-3 in the Ivies for the first time since 1996.
– The Quakers lost last week at home to Yale, 24-19. They led in the fourth quarter. Their other Ivy losses were at home to Dartmouth on a last-play touchdown and in overtime at Columbia. So their three league losses were by a combined 11 points.
– They have lost four in a row since scoring 65 at Lehigh
– Justin Watson had 10 catches for 120 yards, setting an Ivy record for 100-yard games with 16. He's also tied for the program career receiving TDs record with 27. He has at least one receiving TD in each game this season. He needs 11 catches and 125 yards to establish two more program all-time bests.
– They're 9-1 in Ivy games when Tre Solomon runs for a TD.
– Brown has lost three straight. Last week the Bears lost at Cornell, 34-7. The week before that they lost to Princeton at home, 53-0. Their wins were against Bryant (28-23) and Rhode Island (24-21), both at home.
– They have rushed for 73 yards in the last two games, averaging less than 2 yards per carry.
– They're holding opponents to just a 34-percent conversion rate on third down. They're 11th in FCS in tackles for losses and 15th in sacks. Seven different players have a fumble recovery. But they have only one interception.
– Scott Boylan is averaging 24 yards on 18 kickoff returns, including a 95-yard TD.
– Coach Phil Estes is in his 20th season.
