Tight end from West Virginia commits to Penn State
Brenton Strange is a four-star recruit from Parkersburg, W.Va., who made an official visit to Happy Valley during "White Out" weekend.
Tight end Brenton Strange of Parkersburg, W.Va., announced Monday on Twitter that he had made an oral commitment to Penn State.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Strange, who is rated four stars by both 247Sports and Rivals, made an official visit to Happy Valley for this past weekend's "White Out." He also visited during the summer.
"Ever since I stepped on campus, I've had a feeling that this was the one," he said on Twitter.
Strange received offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, Mississippi, Michigan, Purdue, West Virginia and other schools. He is ranked as the nation's No. 8 tight end by Rivals and No. 16 by 247Sports.
Strange is the 17th player to commit to the Nittany Lions' class of 2019.
