Here is a sampling after Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Redskins.

ANDY CLAUS TRIED to get this gaggle of misfit toys to push just once more in front of the home elves. Sadly, he couldn't even get down the chimney. The Misfits had caused their usual mischief; turnovers and missed tackles once again kept the bicycle from being assembled. And on Andy Claus' final pass over this home, he, like his defensive line, forgot the sack.

Even the best champagne goes stale after too many years. Andy, good luck next week. Good luck next year.

As Coach Reid continues to walk "The Green Mile," the team comes close but loses for the 10th time in the last 11 and sixth straight loss at home. To all of those Redskins fans who invaded our house, I have two words for you, Bah Humbug!

62.3 percent of the blind loyalty brigade thinks [Nick] Foles should be the starting QB next year. No wonder they are what they are. Good-bye Reid. Good luck and good riddance. The main difference between Reid and his predecessor is that he was given three times the number of years to fail.

We lose the game on an intentional grounding run off??? thats our 2012 Eagles

Foles is 6-6 tall and weighs in at 240 pounds. I am 59 years old and can throw a better ball than him. A slow poke with a rag arm is NO savior in waiting for this squad. We are mediocre across the board. Five first-round draft picks would only scratch the surface of our needs. I love this town and I love my Philadelphia teams; sorry to say however that we're in for a long dry spell. God, do you hate Philadelphia?

Bizarre finish. So very 2012 Eagles. Good to see players so committed to good draft position. That takes discipline.
