Ask football fans what the coolest job in America is and, inevitably, they'll confess that they all fantasize about being Scott Hanson for a day. The NFL RedZone is a phenomenon that is simply changing the way people watch football. Now that people have experienced the RedZone and the quad box, they can't go back to watching regular football. If they did, it'd be like going back in time and realizing that you're living in a tangent reality where Biff owns everything and biker gangs rule the streets. No one has to worry about that, though, because, every Sunday, Scott Hanson spends seven hours breaking down the week's NFL action. Grantland—ESPN's grand Bill Simmons experiment—recently took the chance to go behind the scenes of NFL RedZone and show everyone what a Sunday in the life of Scott Hanson is like. Among the gems from the running diary is the description of a conversation that took place about the Eagles emergency quarterback situation when Vick left the Cowboys game with a concussion and Jason Avant was already hurt.
