Here are some highlights from Eagles head coach Doug Pederson and quarterback Carson Wentz's postgame press conferences.

On the overall performance of the Eagles' offense:

Just okay. We made some plays. A lot of them were broken plays. We've got to obviously look at the film and make the corrections. It wasn't perfect. Too many breakdowns in some crucial situations. Some drive-killers, whether it be a penalty or a sack. Those are things we've got to take a look at. But all in all, we had some opportunities down the field, which is exciting, and those are things moving forward that we'll address and we'll try to fix.

On the screen passes and laterals to Nelson Agholor:

That particular play you were referring to wasn't supposed to be a lateral. It just happened to be a lateral in that situation, and it was based on what the defense presents. It's something we've got to do a better job and get fixed, and just evaluate that situation. … It's a run [play for Agholor], actually, quite honestly. It's a run. And then based on what the defense does, he [Wentz] has the ability to throw it.

On Nelson Agholor's overall good play in the game:

Obviously, that first touchdown, I'm very excited for him and the offense. But I think going forward his confidence level — and really I've seen it all spring and all summer, and it's right where I expected him to be. He just carried it over into the game today, and made some great plays — some good third down plays, and kept us on the field. For him, this is a great first step to being the type of receiver that we know he can be, and will be for us, and the reason why the Eagles drafted him so high.

On the victory:

A big win for us. Last year we struggled on the road. Couldn't ask for a better opportunity, to come down here and [beat] a division rival like this. It was so cool being out there. The Eagles fans showed up in amazing form. Hearing the E-A-G-L-E-S chant at the end, I mean, they travel so well. That made it a lot of fun to play out there. And getting the season started off like this feels really good.

On how big today was for Nelson Agholor:

I think It's big for him. But honestly, going back to the offseason, I just saw a more confident player. I saw he was working. And we were always talking about what he could do differently, different things. And we're kind of seeing just a new, confident player. Starting off the season the way he did today was huge for him.

On his improvement at keeping his eyes down the field:

I think it's just a comfortability thing.* I would say I probably am a little better at something. There's a fine line, though. Sometimes there are times when you've just got to take off and get what you can get. And you know you're never going to be perfect, but in those times instincts really take over. But I do feel confident with just keeping my eyes downfield and making plays when they are there.

[* – Yes, he really did say "comfortability."]
