Tyrone Mann-Barnes, an Inquirer first-team all-South Jersey guard from Collingswood, has accepted a basketball scholarship to the Philadelphia University of the Sciences.

Mann-Barnes averaged 20.5 points for Collingswood, which won the South Jersey Group 2 and Colonial Conference Liberty Division titles last season.

He said he chose Sciences over Central Connecticut State.

"The most important thing is that I will be getting a great education there," Mann-Barnes said. "Plus, I feel I can contribute to the basketball program."

The 6-foot-1 senior said he was recruited as a combination guard.
