Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco headlines the latest group of inductees into the South Jersey Football Coaches Hall of Fame.
The recipients will be honored during an induction banquet at 6 p.m. June 24 at Masso's Caterers in Glassboro.
Flacco, a 2003 graduate of Audubon, is entering his third season as the starting quarterback with the Baltimore Ravens. He is being inducted as an active professional player.
Willie "Flipper" Anderson, the former all-South Jersey receiver and then quarterback from Paulsboro who played with several NFL teams, will be inducted as a former professional player.
Dave Mebs of Pennsauken and Wake Forest, and Gordon Lockbaum of Glassboro and Holy Cross University will be inducted in the legends category.
Williamstown's Frank Fucetola will be inducted in the coaching category. Camden County Superior Court Judge Faustino J. Fernandez-Vina, a graduate of Haddon Heights, will be honored for distinguished service.
The banquet is always held in conjunction with the Adam Taliaferro senior all-star football game. That will take place June 26 at Rowan University. - Marc Narducci
