Nick LoBiondo's second-half goal gave the Roman Catholic boys' soccer team a 1-0 win over Archbishop Wood in a battle for first place in the Catholic League. Kevin Tobin notched his seventh shutout of the season for the Cahillites, who are 10-0 overall and 7-0 in league play.

Ava Borkowski scored two goals as Plymouth Whitemarsh defeated Springfield (Montco) by a 5-1 margin. The Colonials improved to 11-1 overall and 9-0 in the Suburban One American Conference.

Girls’ Tennis

Baldwin head coach Jeff Sacks picked up his 100th win in the Bears' 7-0 victory over Notre Dame. Baldwin's Victoria Smith defeated McKenna Bramlage by a 6-2, 7-5 margin at first singles.

The first day of the Pioneer Athletic Conference Singles Tennis Championships took place Friday. Saturday's semifinals will pit Methacton's Dina Nouaime against Tori Alexander of Spring-Ford and Phoenixville's Julie Gumieniak versus Elaina Lee of Owen J. Roberts. The final and playback matches will also take place on Saturday at Perkiomen Valley.
