BRYCE HARPER started the season with a bang, belting two home runs Monday in the Nationals' 2-0 win over the Marlins.

As if that wasn't enough, his first dinger was caught by a Jayson Werth look-alike dressed in a Nats uniform and sporting a beard and sunglasses.

The real Werth, of course, was in the dugout waiting to congratulate Harper.

April's fool

Apparently, Mike Tyson has a sense of humor.

On Monday, he sent out a tweet saying he was having the tattoo on his face removed.

"At the doctors office this morning. Getting this tattoo removed from my face. This is going to be painful," Tyson wrote.

Turns out it was just joshing.

"OK. April Fools," he wrote. "There is no #GoodbyeMikeTysonTattoo. This tattoo is with me forever."

What a funny guy.

Not funny Valentine

Last year, Bobby Valentine's first and only season managing the Red Sox ended with a 69-93 record, the team's worst since a 62-100 mark in 1965.

He was fired in October, 1 day after the end of the season.

Thanks to a recent story on boston.cbslocal.com, we know that the Beantown media made a lasting impression on Valentine.

"All the Boston [media] ever wanted to do is prove that they were a tougher media than New York," Valentine said. "And I don't paint everyone with the same brush - I think some of those guys are absolutely terrific people. And a good group of 'em are absolute horse's asses who are unprofessional, lazy and should not be in the business up here, in my opinion . . . I think the New York media knows more about baseball and is more professional."
