The Mets chased Vance Worley with a pair of four-run innings and the Phillies could not complete a sweep of the Mets at Citi Field, losing 9-5.

Worley lasted just three innings, allowing eight runs (five earned) on 12 hits. Jonathon Niese pitched 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball for the Mets to earn the win.

Raul Ibanez hit his seventh home run of the season in the eighth, a solo shot. The Phillies put together a small rally later in the inning that ended when Jimmy Rollins was thrown out at second trying to stretch a single into a double.
