J.P. Crawford homers; Darick Hall continues to rake
Hall, promoted to Clearwater on Tuesday, homered in both ends of a doubleheader.

INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE (AAA)
SYRACUSE 4, LEHIGH VALLEY 1 — 2B J.P. Crawford his a solo homer (his 14th) for the IronPigs (74-62) . . . LF Andrew Pullin had the only other two hits for Lehigh Valley . . . RHP Jake Thompson (L, 5-14, 5.25) allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits (one homer) and a walk over seven innings. He struck out six.
FLORIDA STATE LEAGUE (A)
CLEARWATER 2-3, CHARLOTTE 8-2 — DH Darick Hall, who was just promoted after setting the home run record at Lakewood, belted a two-run homer in the nightcap to lift the Threshers (28-35). He had doubled and launched a solo homer in the opener . . . LF Cornelius Randolph had a solo homer in Game 1 and knocked in a run with a groundout in Game 2 . . . LHP JoJo Romero (W, 4-2, 2.53) struck out seven in five innings in the nightcap. He allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks.
Hall on Tuesday was named the MVP of the South Atlantic League where he set Lakewood records with 27 home runs and 96 RBI. Tuesday was his first action for Clearwater.

EASTERN LEAGUE (AA)
NEW HAMPSHIRE 8, READING 4 — DH Kyle Martin belted his 22nd home run — a solo shot — for the Phillies (70-64) . . . 3B Mitch Walding had an RBI double . . . CF Zachary Coppola and LF Damek Tomscha also knocked in runs.
NEW YORK-PENN LEAGUE (A)
WILLIAMSPORT 8, AUBURN 2 — RF Jhailyn Ortiz had a three-run home run among his three hits for the Crosscutters (32-33). He also had an RBI single and scored twice . . . 3B Jake Scheiner collected four hits (double), two runs and two RBI . . . 2B Brian Mims had two hits and scored twice . . . RHP Spencer Howard (ND, 1-1, 4.45) struck out 10 in 4.2 innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and four walks. The Phillies second-round draft choice this June has 40 strikeouts in 28.1 innings.
