No mascot yet for the 76ers

There is a lot of excitement entering the 76ers season, which begins with Wednesday's game at the Wells Fargo Center against the Denver Nuggets.

What there won't be, at least at the start of the season, is a mascot.

The Sixers went last year without a mascot. When asked about the status, a team official said: "There is no update at this time. We will not have one on opening night and we haven't named anything. There has been no determination on whether there will be a mascot this season."
