Super Bowl party decorations that will be … a touchdown
Take your Eagles team spirit and Super Bowl party to the next level with these super easy decorating ideas.
Planning a party for the Eagles' big day? Amp up the team spirit with a few easy Super Bowl decorations.
"When you walk into a room and see decorations themed to what you're watching, it gets you extra pumped up," remarks A.C. Moore craftologist Jess Castaldi. "Taking just a little time to decorate will set the atmosphere for your guests and build up the enthusiasm."
Castaldi has provided four DIY ideas, all of which can be executed without any crafting experience. Each project is designed to utilize easy-to-find materials, many of which may already exist at your house and all of which can be picked up in a one-stop shopping trip at crafting outlets.
"The ideas are super quick and accessible, meaning you could get your kids in on the action or even the party members once they arrive," Castaldi says.
The crafting plan centers around the crux of any good Super Bowl party — the snack table. Before placing down the nachos, wings, pizza or other eats on this year's roster, Castaldi encourages you to transform your table into a football field.
"It provides a fun base for everything you're going to have at the party and can even be used for playful games later into the night, like for paper football or for tracking plays in the game," Castaldi says.

Food labels and mason jars act as versatile accents that enhance the football field, and the football banner, which can be strung along the edge of the table (or above it if the table is adjacent to a wall), adds a celebratory touch.
Finish off the Eagles-ready table spread with simple items like green straws and green cutlery.
"Just have fun with it and don't be afraid to make the ideas your own," Castaldi says. "Football is a great way to come together and show spirit, and crafting acts as a great way to do that, too."
Football Field Table Cover
Time: 10 minutes
Supplies (estimate amounts/sizes to match the size of your table):
Green paper, green felt, or green plastic tablecloth
2 rolls of ¾-inch thin white duct tape
Scissors
2 packs of (2-inch) Headline Sign (or brand of your choice) white vinyl stickers: numbers and letters
Cover table with green paper. Alternatively, a green plastic tablecloth or a large piece of green felt will also work.
Cut 11 strips of duct tape so that each strip matches the width of your table. Place one strip horizontally across the center of your table. Working your way out from the center, evenly place five strips of tape on each side of the table, striving to make them parallel to the center strip.
Place the sticker numbers along the edges of the duct tape strips to create the yard lines; use one digit on either side of the line. Ex. 1|0, 2|0, 3|0, 4|0, 5|0, etc.

Football Food Labels for Dishes
Time: 20 minutes
Yields: 10 food labels
Supplies:
5 (2") Styrofoam balls
10 (4"x 1/8") dowel rods
Styrofoam knife (or craft knife)
1-2 sheets of 12"x12" brown card stock paper
1 sheet of 12"x12" white card stock paper
Green acrylic paint
Paint brush
Marker
Scissors
Hot glue gun and hot glue
Use a craft knife to cut the Styrofoam balls in half.
Paint the half spheres with green paint.
Glue a dowel rod into each half sphere.
Use the marker to draw three-inch oval football shapes onto the brown card stock. Use the scissors to cut out the football shapes from the card stock.
Use the scissors to cut small rectangles from the white card stock that will fit inside the brown football shapes. Write each food dish that you'll be serving at your party onto the white rectangles; then glue rectangles onto the football shapes. (Alternatively, write directly onto the footballs with a white paint maker.)
Glue football onto the top of the dowel rod.
Football Mason Jars
Time: 10 minutes
Supplies:
Mason jars
¾-inch thin white or green duct tape
Scissors
Green or green and white bakers twine
Place one vertical strip of duct tape onto the front of each jar that you're decorating. Cut off excess tape, if needed.
Per jar, cut five shorter strips of duct tape to act as the threads of the football. Place the strips horizontally on the jar so that they are perpendicular to the initial vertical stripe; aim to evenly space the strips from top to bottom.
Wrap bakers twine around the neck of the mason jar. Secure with a knot. Cut off excess twine.
Football Banner
Time: 10 Minutes
Supplies:
2 sheets of 12"x 12" brown card stock
2 sheets of 12"x 12" green card stock
¾-inch thin white duct tape
Scissors
1 spool of baker's twine
Small hole punch
Cut out seven footballs from brown construction paper, 6 inches in height.
Apply duct tape to the center of the football to create laces and stripes, placing one longer strip down the center and five shorter strips horizontally.
Cut out nine green triangles from green construction paper. Apply duct tape to each triangle in a striped pattern, in even increments, to create a white-and-green pattern.
Punch a hole into the bottom left corner and right corner of each triangle, as well as into the center top of each football. String each shape onto the baker's twine. Hang the string of twine at the location of your choice; evenly space the shapes apart along the string of twine.
