A banner holiday in Philly

On New Year's Eve visitors from Castelpetroso, Italy - and some of their American relatives - toured the Historic District including the Betsy Ross House, which was celebrating the Jan. 1, 1752 birthday of America’s most famous flag maker.

Maria Cifelli of Salem County, NJ, hosted her nine siblings and a houseful of nieces and nephews, including the contingent from Italy, for Christmas. She then brought the Italians to Philadelphia on New Year's Eve.
