Demolishing the Boyd

Demolition continues on Chestnut Street's 1928 Boyd Theater, the city's lone survivor of Hollywood's golden age. The Historical Commission's hardship committee granted owner Pearl Properties permission to tear down everything but the Chestnut Street facade and an exterior vestibule to be turned into a 27-story apartment tower.
